よく混乱してしまう英文法：代名詞「Pronoun」

私の生徒が、「My son, she is 16」や「They are my children」ではなく、「It is my children」などと言うことがあります。

話している相手は、何を言っているのかを理解してくれています。
英語はポイントさえ押さえておけば英語力はさらに正確な方向に上達していきます。

「He」「she」「they」と「it」はどれも代名詞です。

代名詞はその名の通り名詞の代わりに使います。

例えば

「Eliane is playing with Eliane’s doll in the garden of Eliane’s family」

の代わりに

「Eliane is playing with her doll in their garden」

と言う事ができます。

「I」「He」「she」「they」と「it」は全て人称代名詞です。

人称代名詞は特定の人やものを指し、人、数量、性別、場合によって使い分けます**。**

例えば：

The man travelled to Russia.

He went there on business.

The taxi drove him to airport.

When he got there he found that he had left his itinerary behind.

It was in his study.

He rang his wife and she was able to give him all the information he needed.
