道を歩きながらきれいな桜の花を見るのが楽しい時期。桜についての英語表現を覚えてみましょう。

桜の開花予想：cherry blossom forecast

例: According to the cherry blossom forecast, the blooms arrive a few days earlier than average years.

桜の開花予想によると、 平年より数日早く開花します。

桜の木 –　cherry blossom trees

例: There are 195 cherry blossom trees planted along Kunitachi Sakura Dori..

195本の桜の木が国立桜通り沿いに植えられています。

満開 –　in full bloom

例: Once in full bloom, cherry blossoms usually last  for a week or a bit longer.

桜の花が満開になると、一週間かそれより少し長く咲き続けます。

五部咲き – in half bloom

例: The cherry blossoms in Yoyogi park are only in half bloom during this time of year.

この時期の代々木公園の桜はまだ五部咲きです。

しだれ桜 – weeping cherry

しだれ桜は、春になると見ごたえのある明るいピンク、または白い花をつけることで知られています。

夜桜 – cherry blossoms at night

例: It is so much fun having cherry blossom viewing with friends during the day, but cherry blossoms at night is more romantic!
