間違いやすい英単語：「then」と「than」

今週も間違いやすい英単語シリーズいきましょう！本日取り上げる単語は「then」と「than」です。

thenとthanのスペルはとてもよく似ていますが、意味は似ていませんよね。今回は、この二つの単語を二度と間違えないようにするために、正確な使い方をご紹介しましょう。

この単語は、次に何か行動を起こさなければならないときに使います。そして、if…thenのような使い方もできます。

例：

“I wake up, then brush my teeth.”

“If you don’t wear sunscreen, then you run the risk of burning.”

【than****】

この単語は、何かを比較したいときに使います。

例：

**“**I can cook better than you.”

**“**I like this shirt more than that shirt.”
