Just in case you missed something...

Here are some frequently asked questions about our online English classes.

The cost of an online A1 or A2 English course can vary considerably from one case to another.

EF English Live offers personalised A1 and A2 English courses. This means that there is no single price for each course. The cost of an A1 and A2 English course with EF English Live varies depending on:

  • The number of lessons per week required

  • Preferred course mode (1-1, group course...)

  • The type of course chosen (we offer a General English Course and a Business English course)

The certificate issued by EF English Live at the end of each unit takes the form of a personal certificate.

As well as proving that the course unit has been successfully completed, the certificate indicates the corresponding CEFR level achieved by the student.

The certificate is signed by two EF English Live representatives and contains the date of issue.

If you want to know your level of grammar, vocabulary and written and oral comprehension, EF English Live offers a free online English test that covers these subjects, the EF SET. It is designed to assess your level of English according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

The EF SET will give you a score that corresponds to one of the six levels of proficiency in English defined by the CEFR, ranging from elementary (A1) to advanced (C2). By knowing your level, you can choose English courses that are adapted to your level of proficiency and therefore progress more quickly.

It's important to remember that regular practice is the key to improving your English. As well as taking courses, you can also listen to radio programmes and podcasts in English, watch films and series in their original version, and read books in English. The more you practise, the more comfortable you'll become with the language and the faster you'll progress.

In short, knowing your level of English will help you assess your skills and choose the most suitable English courses.

To reach A2 level in English, it is crucial to master the basics of the language and practise regularly. At this delicate stage of the learning process, it is advisable to have the support of English speakers to train your ear to the spoken language. Our intensive online English course will help you practise daily. Informal activities such as reading simple books, watching videos, or writing to friends in the target language are also beneficial. By following these simple tips, you can quickly reach A2 level. According to the CEFR, this involves understanding common expressions related to topics of immediate interest, being able to communicate in simple situations, describing your immediate environment, expressing simple opinions, and practising simple sentence structure in English. By following this simple advice, you will reach A2 level.

To achieve a higher level of English, it's important to consider different aspects of language learning. Writing in English can be a challenge, but regular writing practice will help improve grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure. The same goes for speaking, which will help with pronunciation and listening. Our beginner English course is the perfect solution to help you.

On a personal level, it's essential to motivate yourself and commit to working regularly to achieve your goals. On a day-to-day basis, it is advisable to immerse yourself in the language by listening to music, watching films and series in English, and reading books and articles in English. Find your own way of working on the written and spoken language. To complete your independent learning, it is advisable to take online English courses.

Testimonials from other learners can also be useful for advice and tips to motivate you to keep learning. Take part in our group conversation sessions to chat with them and ask all the questions you want. Don’t forget, practising English conversation is essential for improving fluency and comprehension, whether online or in person.
