複合字(Compound words)，就是同樣的英文字組合，但多了一格空白鍵的空格，有著不同的用法和意思，特別容易混淆。暨上篇後，我們五組複合字裡還剩下兩組：sometime vs some time與someday vs some day 。快把上下兩組學起來，本文附上練習題，可以趁機看看你的學習成效喔！

Sometime––它可以是副詞，也可以是形容詞。
1. 副詞，表“at some point”(某個時間點)。
I will finish my landscaping project sometime.
(我將在某個時間點完成我的環境美化專案。)
2. 形容詞，表先前的。
Tony, a sometime UPS driver, now plays professional poker for a living.
(托尼先前是UPS的司機，現在是職業撲克玩家。)
Some time––當是兩個字的時候，它指的是一段時間，而且通常時很長的一段時間。
1. 一段時間。
Jack has lived in this neighborhood for some time.
(傑克自這個鄰里居住了一段時間。)

5. Someday vs Some day
Someday–副詞，指未來的不確定時間。
1. 副詞，不確定時間，總有一天。
Someday I will invest in a new mobile phone but the old one will be ok until I do so.
(總有一天，我會把我的錢用在買一部新的手機，但在我購買之前，會繼續使用舊的手機。)
Some day–形容詞的some與名詞的day的組合。some表示“未知”或“未指定”。與day配對時，表示“未知的一天”。
1. 副詞片語，未知的一天。
The term paper is due some day in May.
(學期論文截止日預定是在五月的某天。)
